Maria Shriver shared a heart-wrenching video of the devastation caused by the Palisades Fire in Los Angeles that ravaged her neighborhood.
“Heartbreaking, devastating, beyond belief. Everything is gone,” the former first lady of California, who was previously married to ex-Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, wrote on Instagram Wednesday alongside a video taken by CBS News correspondent Jonathan Vigliotti.
“Our neighborhood, our restaurants. All our friends have lost everything. We have evacuated, but are safe. But people have lost everything.”
The video showed a Los Angeles street in ruins as the city continues to battle fires throughout Los Angeles County.
“The firefighters have and are doing their best, but this fire is mᴀssive and out of control, and now there are multiple fires burning across Los Angeles,” Shriver, 69, continued.
“We in this city will put our arms around one another.”
Shriver urged residents to “stay safe” and allow firefighters to do their jobs.
Around 30,000 Los Angeles residents, including celebrities, were forced to evacuate their estates after a series of fires broke out in Pacific Palisades and surrounding areas on Tuesday.
The Palisades Fire sparked on Tuesday around 10:30 a.m. local time and has since grown to 11,802 acres, according to Cal Fire.
