Lauren Sánchez’s sunbathing aboard her fiancé Jeff Bezos’ $500 million yacht, Koru, was interrupted by customs officers for a search that lasted three hours on New Year’s Eve, Page Six has learned.
We obtained pH๏τos of the former TV reporter, 55, smiling and posing on the top deck of the luxury ship, wearing a Versace ʙικιɴι, black sarong and large hat, while officers scoped another area.
The uniform-clad officials, who stepped onto the boat with all of their equipment and black life jackets, were seen speaking to a stewardess, as she appeared to instruct them on where to go.
The ship was sailing near St. Barts at the time, a popular destination for celebrities during the holidays.
A source tells Page Six that although the yacht inspection took three hours, it is considered “routine.”
A spokesperson for customs in St. Barts did not immediately return our request for comment.
Bezos did not appear to be on his boat when the ordeal occurred and his rep could not be reached.
It seemed, for the most part, the guests were not disturbed by the officers’ visit — except at one point in which a redheaded stewardess was seen speaking to Sánchez, possibly informing her of what occurred.
However, the former media personality had a few pals with her by her side, including ex-boyfriend Tony Gonzalez, with whom she shares a 23-year-old son, Nikko.
The former NFL player, 48, was pH๏τographed flaunting his fit physique as he went for a dip in the ocean.
Sánchez, who also has two other kids with ex-husband Patrick Whitesell, has reportedly referred to Gonzalez as one of her best friends.
Her rep did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
The fun day out in the sun comes after Sanchez partied in the snow with Bezos, 60, in Aspen, Colo., amid rumors that the couple were headed down the aisle soon.
The Amazon CEO quickly shut down the rumor mill, though, by taking to X himself following reports he planned a lavish $600 million wedding for New Year’s Eve weekend.
