The singer, 34, layered her statement piece over a black leather dress as she helped out Ryan Seacrest with the annual show’s hosting duties.

Her floor-length garment featured a full-length zip, a high neckline, and a flowing skirt.

She paired her leather look with a pair of matching chunky boots and slicked her brunette locks back into a tiny bun.

Rita appeared elated with her role as cohost as she was spotted walking around a shopping center with a huge smile.

Earlier in the event, the performer matched her red coat with a more relaxed ensemble as she stepped out in a pair of Adidas tracksuit bottoms.

Ahead of her Big Apple New Year’s Eve television appearance, Rita kept fans updated on her goings on and posted on her Facebook: SURPRISE!! I’m pulling double duty on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve!

‘In addition to cohosting in Times Square alongside Ryan Seacrest, I’ll be performing as well. Be sure tune in New Year’s Eve at 8/7c on ABC !#RockinEve.’

The outing comes after Rita hinted that she left The Masked Singer to make new music.

The popstar has stepped down from the judging panel of the ITV game show and has  been replaced by Love Island host Maya Jama.

She had appeared alongside  Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan since the compeтιтion series started in 2020.

But now, whilst plugging a haircare product, Rita revealed that next year will be taking her back to her roots as she prepares to head go into the studio.
