The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star shared several pH๏τos over the weekend

As the residents of the Bahamas prepared for Hurricane Dorian, Kim Kardashian West was sharing snapsH๏τs of her recent vacation there.

Kardashian West vacationed in the country with Khloé Kardashian, 35, and La La Anthony, 38, late last month, and over the weekend Kardashian West, 38, posted pH๏τos of herself in a plunging, high-rise one-piece swimsuit.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star posted a slideshow of pH๏τos on Instagram as she walked through the ocean.

While Kardashian West’s pH๏τos showed what many people think of when they think of the Caribbean country, on Monday the world was seeing a very different side of the Bahamas as the devastation the hurricane had wrecked was revealed as the storm started to move towards Florida.

Hurricane Dorian, which recently strengthened to a Category 5 storm, made landfall on Sunday in the Bahamas and continued to pummel the area Monday morning.

The storm had continued to intensify over the past week, with sustained winds reported up to 165 mph on Monday, according to CNN.

The death toll from Dorian was not immediately clear on Monday, though aid workers said up to 13,000 homes may have already been severely damaged or destroyed, CNN reported.

The first confirmed death was seven-year-old, Lachino Mcintosh, who drowned as his family tried to escape the storm surge, the Bahamas Press reports.
